The annual RASNZ conference is hosted by local affiliated societies, each year moving to different region to both support the local society in their publicity and to familiarise the RASNZ community with the work of the affiliates.

2022 Whangarei

In it's first ever hosting of RASNZ, the Northland Astronomical Society hosted the 2022 conference as COVID restrictions lifted.

85 attendees enjoyed the New Zealand based presentations with Dr. John Mather of JWST providing the keynote via Zoom.

2021 Wellington

Following the cancellation of the 2020 conference due to COVID restrictions, the RASNZ 100th anniversary was a spectacular success with over 140 attendees hosted by the Wellington Astronomical Society.
